Title: STED (STimulated Emission Depletion) optical super resolution fluorescence microscopy and
spectroscopy of biological systems on Leica Stellaris 8 system - Tau-STED
Description: The research to be carried out at DIFILAB is aimed at optimizing access to structural and
functional information in cellular systems by integrating cutting-edge spectroscopic and imaging techniques
for the structural analysis of molecular systems in living cells from the atomic to the cellular level. The main
experimental setups used are the following: 1) super resolved fluorescence optical microscopy and laser
illumination white-light and multi-photon laser sources; 2) simultaneous integration of photon arrival time
evaluation to create fluorescence lifetime maps as a function of environmental conditions; 3) STED-AFM
correlative nanoscopy.

materiali.
Subjects of the interview: Biophysical methods for the study of biological macromolecules in cell systems.
In particular: linear and non-linear optical microscopy methods including advanced (FLIM) and superresolution
fluorescence (STED, PALM) methods and complementary scanning probe microscopy methods
(AFM).
The candidate will need to prove his/her knowledge of the english language.
